Amanda Kloots Bio, Wiki
Amanda is a celebrity fitness instructor and former Rockette, and Nick currently stars in A Bronx Tale. She is the wife of Nick Cordero, a Canadian actor. He appeared on Broadway in 2014 in the musical Bullets Over Broadway in the role of Cheech, for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical.
Kloots revealed on March 31st that her husband was in intensive care and “having a hard time breathing.” “Nick has been sick for a while with what we were told last week was pneumonia. Unfortunately, we think he was misdiagnosed and we are waiting to hear if this is, in fact, COVID,” she said at the time.
On July 5th, 2020, after 95 days suffering from COVID-19 symptoms, his wife announced his death via an Instagram post at 6:05 pm PDT. Cordero died surrounded by family at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 41 years old.
Amanda Kloots & Nick Cordero
The pair first met in 2014, while on the set of the Broadway show Bullets Over Broadway. They got engaged in Hudson, New York and later married in a New York City in 2017. The wedding venue was at Skylark, a cocktail lounge & Abigail Kirsch event spaces, with views, a deck & bar bites.
“We really wanted a nighttime classic NYC wedding,” explains Amanda to Brides. “We both have worked on Broadway, so being just south of Times Square, 30 floors up, right in the middle of the skyscrapers, seemed so perfect!”
The stunning venue served as the couple’s inspiration, which translated to an evening full of metallic gold touches and timeless style. On September 3rd, 2017, the couple invited 70 guests—mostly Broadway performers themselves!—to witness a special ceremony and dance party overlooking Manhattan.
Nick Cordero Battle with Covid-19
On Friday, Amanda — who had said earlier this month that Cordero, 41, was in “stable” condition — asked all of her followers to pray for her husband, as his coronavirus condition had gotten “very bad.”
“My whole world has stopped. Please pray for my husband,” she wrote on Friday, alongside a photograph of the pair with their 10-month-old son Elvis Eduardo. “Prayer warriors, prayer circles, whatever you’ve got. Energy, meditation, positive thinking. He is fighting for his life right now. Elvis and I need you, Nick Cordero. It’s time to fight daddy.”
“All prayer warriors right now PLEASE. Nicks’s condition got very bad. Please pray pray pray,” she added on her Instagram Story, alongside another photo of her husband and their son.
