In her biography on the Free The Press Canada, MacPherson described herself as a former CBC reporter who covered federal and provincial politics at CBC News and CBC.ca. She was also part of the segment, Connect with Mark Kelley Show which covered elections-related topics.

MacPherson wrote on Feb 5 that for the past 2 months, her lung cancer tumor had already grown. She learned on Feb 4 that besides the lung tumor, her left leg and hip had been riddled with cancer which had also started to progress to her right leg. She wrote in a Twitter thread that all her lymph nodes have cancer including two spots in her spine, T5 & T12.
In an article on her website, she wrote that she became legally blind and was recovering from an eye surgery transplant earlier this year.”I’m attempting to work through complete double vision as an artificial transplant begins to settle and this is my first experience with dictation software,” MacPherson wrote. The article was aimed at CBC and was about compelling it to halt the conflict of interest between Government and Advertorials.
MacPherson created a GoFundMe page after the diagnosis to help raise money for her medical expenses.
Amy MacPherson Death & Cause
Amy MacPherson’s death was confirmed by her son on her Twitter account. Her son Carey posted that Amy had passed away in her sleep at home with her family on March 28, 2020. He went on to write that her fans and followers meant a lot to them and thanked everybody who read his mom’s work.
