Heather Gumina Waters Disappearance
Heather Gumina also known as Heather Waters was last seen on July 15, 2019 after she was released from a Pleasant Valley hospital where she was treated for a broken collarbone. She spoke to her mother after she was released from the hospital and complained she was released too soon.
She disappeared after driving off in her 2005 black Infinity coupe. On August 10 the El Dorado County Sherriff’s Office reported that the vehicle had been found and was being forensically processed for evidence.
According to her mother, Heather would never leave her three kids, “It is very unlike her to not contact anyone, that’s why there’s a concern for her safety right now and a concern that she had a broken collarbone. Her children miss her terribly and it’s been a very, very painful thing for my family every day. Every minute of the day, I feel like dying inside. I do because I didn’t protect her. I didn’t protect her. Every day is hard. It’s hard to breathe right now. I’m praying for your safe return.”

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office reported about the arrest on their Facebook page. He was arrested on an outstanding no bail warrant for domestic violence. Following the discovery, EDSO detectives arrested Anthony Gumina for homicide.
Fox News reported that despite the officials claiming that they have evidence linking Gumina to his wife’s death, Robert Shawaluk, a cousin of the Gumina said he believes Gumina is innocent.
“I’m 100 percent positive that he didn’t do it. He did nothing wrong. He loved her. He loved his wife. And for them to arrest him when he cooperated the whole time. He did nothing but cooperate with the cops.”
