Aurlus Mabele born Aurélien Miatsonama in 1953 in the Poto-Poto district of the Republic of Congo is reported to have died on March 19th, 2020 from a heart attack after contracting coronavirus (Covid-19). He was a Congolese singer and composer known for his Rhumba music and his brand of soukous hits that traversed borders. He has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.

Aurlus Mabele Music Career

He founded the group Les Ndimbola Lokole  in 1974, together with his friends  Jean Baron, Pedro Wapechkado and Mav Cacharel.

He left the group to perfect his music skills in Europe. He would go on to form the Loketo group in 1986, with Diblo Dibala and Mav Cacharel. He was known for the soukous, a genre of dance music from the Congo Basin, of which he will be proclaimed “king”, hence the slogan “it is Aurlus Mabele the new king of the soukous”

In his 25 years of his music career, he will have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and he will have helped to make the soukous known outside the limits of the African continent. He organized with the group Loketo successful concerts in the Antilles between May and June 2009.

Accompanied by talented guitarists, he made all Africa dance with music with his typical soukous rhythms ( Africa Mousso , La Femme ivoirienne , Embargo , Betty , Asta De , Evelyne , Loketo , etc.) .

Aurlus Mabele was married to a woman name Liza. The two have one child. She is reported to have left him with their baby before after he got sick.

Aurlus Mabele Death & Cause

Arlus Mabele who had a stroke and was suffering from throat cancer for the past 10 years is reported to have died on March 19th, 2020 from a heart attack after contracting the Covis-19. He was 67 years old.

The news was broken by his nephew, Robert Brazza on his Facebook page. He posted the news of Thursday evening.
