Clara was born in the early 1990s and grew up in the village of East Brent in Somerset, which is on
the southwest side of England. She is renown for being the spouse of Ben Stokes, an English international cricketer and current vice-captain of the England Test team. Stokes was part of the England squad that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup. He was awarded the 2019 BBC Sports Personality of the Year in Aberdeen.

Stokes became engaged to Clare Ratcliffe in 2013. They tied the knot at midday on Saturday, October 14th, 2017. The ceremony was held at the church of St Mary the Virgin in East Brent, near Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. Among the guests at the couple’s wedding were England star’s Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, and Eoin Morgan as well as former greats Ian Bell and Paul Collingwood. Fellow cricketers Sam Billings and Scott Borthwick also attended.

Speaking after his heroic exploits in the third test of the 2019 Ashes series, Stokes stated that “Clare has been brilliant and so supportive throughout the years. Your family goes through everything with you, good and bad, so it is great to be able to celebrate with them at times like this.”

They have two children; their son Layton Andrew Arthur was born in October 2012,[48] and their daughter Libby Sophia Mae was born in February 2015.

He told The Times he is already teaching Layton to play cricket, saying: “If Layton loses his concentration I say, ‘Well, I’m not going to play with you then if you’re being like that’.”
