Brandon Theesfeld (Brandon Austin Theesfeld) is a student at the University of Mississippi in Oxford who has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Ally Kostial, who is also a student at Ole Miss University, whose body was found on July 20 near a remote lake in Lafayette County, Mississippi with eight gunshot wounds.

Brandon is the son of Daniel Theesefeld and Kerry Ann Campbell. His parents are divorced. Brandon has two siblings, two younger sisters, one of whom is also a student at the University of Mississippi.

Brandon’s father, Daniel Theesfeld is a doctor in the Fort Worth area, who owns and operates the Pain Management Center of Texas, according to his Facebook page. His parents are divorced.
Daniel told WMCA-TV’s Kendall Downing that he believed his son was innocent and asked that everybody “him the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise”.
“I know my son is innocent. And I have reasons to believe that I can’t share anything now. But I would ask everybody to please give him the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.”

Theesfeld attended Fort Worth Country Day high school from 2012 to 2014 but did not return to the school because of academics and he did not graduate from Fort Worth Country Day. Heavy.com reported that he graduated from San Marcos Academy, a private Baptist boarding school about 3 and a half hours south of Fort Worth.

Brandon was a student in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi but has since been suspended from the university, according to a statement released by Rod Guajardo, Associate Director of Strategic Communications at Ole Miss.

It is not clear if Brandon belonged to any fraternity but Ally was a member of the Ole Miss’s Alpha Phi sorority chapter and Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity.
Brandon Theesfeld Girlfriend
There are photos that have emerged online of Brandon and Kostial posing together suggesting that the two were in a relationship. Kostial’s cousin however shared a post on Facebook implying that Kostial had rejected Theesfeld; “If you ever wonder why women avoid rejecting you, this is why. We don’t know if you’re going to be cool about it or shoot us eight times and throw our body near a lake.”
Another of Kostial’s friend posted a picture of herself with Kostial on Twitter and then wrote that Brandon harrassed Kostial for years; “(He) harassed her for years, took advantage of her for years, I spent countless nights holding Ally close, drying her tears about this monster.” She finished by writing, “You will never diminish her sunshine.”

Brandon and Ally were both schoolmates at the University of Mississippi. Ally was found dead near Sardis Lake in Lafayette County, Mississippi on July 20, 2019. According to WLBT-TV, she was shot eight times. On July 22, Brandon was arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held at the Lafayette County Jail. The police have not released the relationship between the two or the motive.
According to WLBT-TV, Ally was last seen on Friday night on surveillance video stopping at the door of a bar in the square in Oxford, Mississippi. She, however, didn’t enter the bar, she just paused, turned and walked out of the camera’s view.
According to her roommates, she went their Oxford home about midnight, but at some time after that left again. Her roommates told the police that they didn’t hear her leave. Her body was later found on Saturday at 10:23 a.m. in Harmontown, Mississippi, near Sardis Lake, which is about 20 miles from the University of Mississippi’s Oxford campus, where Kostial had been living for the summer.

The WLBT-TV reported that on July 22 Brandon was arrested and booked into the Lafayette County Jail at 3:43 p.m. and was charged with murder.

On July 23, 2013 the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations confirmed his arrest through a statement but said they wouldn’t release details of the investigation but will release when it’s appropriate.
“As stated in the earlier press release we are not releasing details of the investigation. We will release it when it is appropriate and not before. We want to thank the family (of) Alexandria for (their) patience and trust in the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.”
On Tuesday, July 23, he appeared before a Lafayette County judge. According to Jake Thompson, Oxford Eagle reporter, Brandon appeared before circuit court judge Andrew Howorth and was held without bail, with a bond hearing set for a later date.

Brandon Theesfeld Confession
According to a Reddit thread Brandon has not confessed but there is an affidavit suggesting that Brandon said he intentionally killed Alexandria.
“Alan Withorn makes oath that Brandon A Theesfeld on or about the 20 day of July 2019 Lafayette County did unlawfully obviously (?) and willfully and unlawfully with deliberate design to effect the death of Alexandria Madison Kostial, kill Alexandria Madison Kostial. This occurred in Lafayette County Mississippi violation of code 97-3-19.”
