Brenton Jay Raffensperger who was best known for being the son of Brad Raffensperger an American politician who has been serving as the Secretary of State of Georgia since 2019 passed away in 2018.

Brenton was subject to the public hearings before the US House select committee after his father testified on the January 6 Attack on June 21, 2022. Brad in his testimony illustrated how unhinged Trump’s crusade to overturn the election became. He said that Trump’s supporters went as far as to break into the house belonging to the wife of his dead son Brenton.
Raffensperger said in his testimony on Tuesday, June 21, “And then some people broke into my daughter-in-law’s home. My son has passed and she’s a widow and has two kids. So, we’re very concerned about her safety also.”
The Secretary of State of Georgia went on to state that his email and phone were also flooded with messages, and his wife received “sexualized” texts. Tuesday’s hearing by the committee focused on election officials who say Trump pressured them to try and overturn the legitimate result.
Brenton Jay Raffensperger Struggled with Drugs
In 2015, three years prior to his death, Brenton was sentenced by a Georgia judge (Judge Sidney Nation) to a six-and-a-half-year with an Empty coffin after repeatedly being a drug offender.
Fox News reported that Brenton had been found guilty of cocaine possession and driving under the influence and was to be sentenced to 30 years, but the judge gave him only six months in prison because he had successfully completed a rehab program since his offence.
Brenton Jay Raffensperger Death & Cause
Brenton reportedly passed away in 2018. He was survived by his wife and two children. It is not clear what cause his death as his father never came ou to speak about it. Brenton was later on adversely mentioned after the 2020 Presidential elections when Trump supporters broke into the house belonging to his widowed wife.
