Bud Fletcher was best known for being the wife of Bobbie Nelson, an American pianist, and singer, the older sister of Willie Nelson, and a member of his band, Willie Nelson and Family. Nelson is reported to have died on March 10, 2022, at the age of 91.
At the time Bobbie married Bud, she was 16-year-old. Bud died back in 1961 but at the time of his death, he was already divorced from Bobbie. Bobbie says that her-husbands death left a huge impact on their life because, after his death, the children were left in the custody of the children. She says she later gained their custody and moved to Austin, Texas.
Bob formed his own band, The Texans, and Bobbie joined as the pianist, while her brother joined on vocals and guitar. The band was disassembled in 1955 after she divorced Fletcher.
After Bud’s death, Bobbie was married another three times but none of them lasted long enough. In 1973, she resumed her music career 1973.
Bobbie Nelson Children
Bobbie Nelson and Bud Fletcher had three children named Randy, Michael, and Freddy from their 9-year marriage. Nelson’s two sons passed away back in the 80s. One son, Michael died of leukaemia and Randy passed away in a car accident. The two tragic deaths happened within six months time period in 1989. Her last son Freddy’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

Nelson died on March 10, 2022, at the age of 91. She was part of the Willie Nelson and Family band for more than 50 years. She died peacefully surrounded by her family as per an Instagram post on her official page on Thursday night, March 10, 2022, as per NBC News.
The Instagram post described her as a person of elegance, grace, beauty, and talent who made this world a better place. It further read that she was the first member of Willie’s band, as his pianist and singer. “Our hearts are broken and she will be deeply missed.”
The cause of death was not provided.
