Levin appeared in television, movies and on stage. He was best known for his role as Elliot Novak on the series Alice after he became a regular in the show’s 9th season and the recurring role of Eddie Gregg on Hill Street Blues from 1982 to 1986.
He was also known for his role as the mohel on “The Bris” episode of Seinfeld and Coco, the gay cook, on the pilot episode of The Golden Girls. He made guest appearances on many shows such as; Family Ties, Tales from the Darkside, The Twilight Zone, Murphy Brown, NYPD Blue, and Law & Order.

Charles was a guest star on Night Court episode 7 ‘Life with Buddy’ playing the role of Mark Colson. In the episode Buddy is released from a mental institution and moves in with his son Judge Harry T. Stone. The arrangement soon proves to be more than Harry can handle and Buddy’s not so keen on living outside the “system” either.
Charles Levin Missing
Luke was reported missing by his son on July 8, 2019 after he hadn’t heard from him for several days. According to the police, Luke drove a distinctive orange 2012 Fiat and was known to frequently travel with a fawn-colored pug named Boo Boo Bear.
The rescue team was able to narrow down their search to a region near the town of Selma, southwest of Grants Pass. On 13th July a resident in the area found Levin’s car on “very remote and almost impassable road.” The car was off the road and disabled due to the terrain. Inside the car, troopers found the remains of Levin’s dog.

Levin’s body remains were found after the search team intensified their search around the area his car was found. At the time the police said there was a high probability the remains were Levin’s.
“Based on the circumstances, there is a high probability that the remains are those of Charles Levin.”
