Chef Doni Smith who goes by the Twitter handle @doniquiaa is best known as the wife of Jaylon Ferguson, an American football outside linebacker and defensive end of the NFL. who plays for the Baltimore Ravens. On Wednesday, June 22, he was reported to have passed away in a statement issued by the Ravens. No cause of death has been given as of yet.

Chef Doni Smith is the founder of JOFS catering a private catering company located on Owings Mills in Maryland. It offers food & beverage that she says was inspired by the two toughest food critics she knows, Joyce O’neal and Jrea Oneis Ferguson. Doni says that while growing up, his aunt would always take her to 5-star restaurants in Beverly Hills and she never thought that one day she would turn out to be a great chef.

Jaylon Ferguson, known as “Sack Daddy” for holding the FBS record for career sacks with 45 at Louisiana Tech died in Baltimore on June 22, 2022. He was 26 years old at the time of his death.
The team said in its statement, “We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson. He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and an infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.”
Ferguson was a third-round pick by the Ravens in 2019 and had participated in all of the team’s offseason practices this year. In three seasons, Ferguson totaled 67 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
Ferguson’s wife is devastated by the sudden passing of her husband. He wrote in a Tweet after news of his death, “Jay i just need to hold you baby.”
