Dante Brooks is best known for being the wife of Tiffany Brooks, an American interior designer and TV personality who was crowned in 2013, as the winner of the HGTV show, Design Star. Tiffany teamed up with designer David Bromstad on the second season of HGTV’s Rock the Block. Besides that, she is also the host of HGTV’s $50k Three Ways and the designer/host of HGTV’s sweepstakes show, Smart Home.
A biography on Tiffany’s website lists her husband as part of her business. He has a page dedicated to him describing him as the wingman of the company. Dante handles scheduling trades and managing installations. Dante is the founding member of Afresh Culture, a Christian streetwear clothing brand that he terms to be his side hustle to express his creativity. “I just want my gift to bless others, all while providing people with fresh apparel that may spark a conversation about Jesus,” he wrote on the company’s website. Tiffany has been living with type 1 diabetes since she was 6 years old. The disease led to a failed kidney and near-death illness after giving birth in 2003 to their son Ayden. In 2004 she was the recipient of a kidney from her brother and in 2005 a pancreas from a deceased anonymous organ donor. Her son also battles with the illness. She is an advocate for the JDRF, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that funds type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
