Dayna Chidester is a 51-year-old former consumer and family science teacher at Reed-Custer High School in Braidwood, was busted Wednesday, September 26th, 2019 by FBI agents for allegedly having sex with the boy up to 20 times late in 2018, including trysts at suburban Chicago hotels, the Chicago Tribune reports. She is from the village of Manhattan.

Dayna Chidester Suburban Teacher Sexually Abused a Teen

Dayna Chidester, an Illinois high school teacher repeatedly had sex with a 14-year-old boy in hotels and her car, federal prosecutors allege. Chidester, who initially was charged in January 2019, was meeting up with the boy for sex for months when federal prosecutors claim she texted a student at her school, saying that she was repulsed by her behavior.

“It’s horrible,” Chidester wrote about her ongoing relationship with the teen, who attended another school, according to a 13-page criminal complaint filed Wednesday. “  can go to jail.”

Chidester resigned after being initially charged in Will County on January 2019. She was set free after posting $1 million bond on six counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and other charges. Prosecutors dropped those state charges on Wednesday, September 25th according to the Tribune reports.

Investigators in Will County identified the alleged victim after a student at Reed-Custer reported that Chidester had been texting him. A subsequent search of his cellphone revealed nude photos of the 5th, as well as more than 9,000 text messages they sent each other since last September 2019, according to the complaint.

The boy later told police he had sex with Chidester between 15 and 20 times at various locations and admitted that they swapped nude photos of themselves.

The steamy shots included one shot of the boy lying on the floor with his genitals exposed, a picture Chidester allegedly took while the pair were in her bedroom, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

“She said I looked hot,” the teen said when asked why Chidester took the photo, according to an affidavit obtained by the newspaper.

The two are also reported to have spoken on the phone hundreds of times between September and December 2018.

Chidester, who was arrested one day after the victim’s videotaped interview, then confessed to investigators that she had sex with the teen, whom she showered with gifts, including a robe and a skateboard, according to the complaint.

Chidester was being held until a detention hearing on Friday, September 20th after prosecutors said she poses a flight risk and a danger to the community. She faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison if convicted of sexual abuse of a minor, the Tribune reports.
