According to her Facebook and Linkedln, she is a Student Research Assistant at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University and Outreach and Communications Intern at Cornell Lab of Ornithology. She started working as the Project Manager, COSA from Aug 2019. She is leading a team of students in a collaboration with the Committee on Sustainability Assessment (COSA) to research and document the sustainability commitments and supplier requirements of many of the largest coffee roasters, retailers and suppliers in the United States.

She also says that she is in the Cornell University Sustainable Design (CUSD) Education & Outreach Team Member, Alternative Recycling Cornell (ARC) as of Aug 2019. Her roles include developing a STEM and sustainability-focused curriculum for fourth-grade students at Belle Sherman Elementary School in Ithaca, NY, in addition to researching and designing a system to mediate plastic pollution in Banko, Mali, in partnership with Mali University.

Denise D’Ascenzo passed away on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 in her Connecticut home. She was 61 years old. WFSB announced her death in a statement: “The grief we are all feeling is immeasurable,” WFSB said. “We are devastated for her husband and daughter who were her whole life. There are no words that could begin to summarize this loss for our WFSB family.”
