Dorian Hunter Bio, Wiki
Dorian Hunter is a 45-year-old mother of two and native of Canton, Ohio that now resides in Cartersville, GA. She is competing in season 10 of the reality cooking-competition show MasterChef which airs on Wednesdays on Fox Network. Hunter, a fan-favorite declared to be the one to “watch out for” by Ramsay, would be a historic winner for “MasterChef.” The Georgia mother would be the first black woman to win the cooking competition.
Dorian Hunter Fascination with the Food
The chef may call southern cooking her specialty, but she expresses an interest in a variety of dishes. Her fascination with food started at an early age and was fueled by the time spent with her mother. She has achieved an Associates Degree of Science and Le Courdon Bleu certification in Culinary Arts. When asked about her skills during an interview with Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta, Hunter said she is a “chef that can bake.”
Most MasterChef contestants are intimidated working in front of Judge Ramsey, but Hunter is more than ready for anything he brings to the competition. Speaking to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Hunter said: “Who doesn’t want to be yelled at by Gordon Ramsay?”
Dorian Hunter Husband, Children
Dorian Hunter is married and has two kids, the oldest child being in their mid-20s. In an interview with Parade, when she was asked about her family’s favorite meal, she replied;
“My husband’s favorite meal is chicken and rice. My daughter is strictly French fries and my 16-year-old would eat a bowl of vegetables every day if I would allow him to. If I could make stir fry with just vegetables every day, he would be on Cloud 9.”
Dorian Hunter MasterChef Winner
MasterChef is set to crown its Season 10 champion Wednesday night September 18th on Fox, but it appears the winner has already been leaked. A source claims that contestant Dorian Hunter will be announced the champ in tonight’s finale after a former winner spilled the news online.
A since-deleted Facebook post that was first reported by The Post shows Hunter posing with host Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sanchez, Joe Bastianich and previous winners including Jennifer Behm (Season 2), Courtney Lapresi (Season 5), Gerron Hurt (Season 9), Whitney Miller (Season 1), Dino Angelo Luciano (Season 8) and Shaun O’Neale (Season 7).
Fellow final three contestants Sarah Faherty and Nick DiGiovanni are not pictured, leading a social-media watchdog to suspect Hunter is the big winner.
The photo was reportedly taken during the filming of the 200th episode, in which MasterChef will award the $250,000 grand prize to the winner of the “milestone 10th season.”
Dorian has had to keep her win a secret since the show finished filming, but now that the world can know, her immediate plan is to write a cookbook.
“My vision for my cookbook would be what I have been saying all season, elevated soul,” she says. “I don’t want to be too rustic, because I think that has already been done a lot, but I want to show soul food cooking done in a different way – in a beautiful way, not just in a homestyle way. Plated differently and presented in a different manner.”
