Mantwa Khoza, the wife of Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairman and Orlando Pirates owner Irvin Khoza, is reported to have died on Friday, January 17th, 2020. Mantwa Khoza death comes a day before Pirates meet Highlands Park in their Absa Premiership fixture at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night.

Mantwa and Irvin have been married for decades. The couple had three children named Sonono Khoza, Mpumi Khoza, Nkosana Khoza. They also had one grandchild named Thandekile Matina Zuma. She was Irvin Khoza’s second wife.
Their daughter, Irvin Kohza died back in 2006 of Aids-related complications at a Pretoria hospital at the age of 30. Zodwa Khoza who served as the Orlando Pirates club’s brand manager died of what doctors described as multiple organ failure at the Louis Pasteur Hospital in Pretoria. Her mother and two brothers were at her bedside.

Mantwa Khoza died on Friday, January 17th, 2020 a day before Pirates meet Highlands Park in their Absa Premiership fixture at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night.
This was confirmed in a statement released by the PSL on Friday evening which read:
“The Premier Soccer League has learnt with shock and sadness about the news of the passing of Ausi Mantwa Khoza, the wife of the PSL chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza today [Friday].
“The Premier Soccer League conveys heartfelt condolences to our chairman, Dr Khoza, and his family during this difficult moment.
“The league will observe a moment of silence ahead of this weekend’s Absa Premiership, GladAfrica Championship and MultiChoice Diski Challenge fixtures.”
