He has made Headlines in the Past
Jacob Pederson made headlines in September 2012 when he and his partner police sergeants picked up 19-year-old dancer Jade Larson at an Inver Grove Heights strip club where they said they wanted to talk to her about a murder.
The officers needed information and insisted Larson knew the answers. So they took her from the King of Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club to headquarters. Their interrogation was subject of a dispute between the prosecution and defense in the case of Larson, who was later charged with two counts of aiding an offender.
A Facebook user with the same alias ‘Jacob Pederson’ has confirmed that he is not a cop after strangers started sending him requests. He says he’s not the same person as the one captioned in the picture. He went all the way to change his name to Jacob NotaCop Pederson on Facebook. In one of his posts, he wrote,
“Can’t believe this is happening, but I’ve been getting a ton of friend requests from strangers and people adding me on Instagram. I AM NOT HIM!!!! I’ve never been a cop.”
