During an interview with NPR, Lipton shared a story about a double date he and Turner went on with Harrison Ford and his wife.

“The guests do get scared. Harrison Ford was shaking so hard that his hands were rattling on the – his rings and watches and things were rattling on the arms of his seat. And afterward, we went up to Elaine’s – he and my wife, Kedakai, and I – and we sat down, he said I have a confession to make. I said what. He said I didn’t sleep for three nights before I came to your show, I was that scared.”

Turner was also the Book & Illustration Designer for Lipton’s Book, ‘An Exaltation of Larks’. The book was published in 1993.

Turner married her husband James Lipton in 1970, after nine months of dating. She was Lipton’s second wife as he was previously married to Nina Foch who died in 2008. James died on March 2, 2020 after battling bladder cancer. James was an American writer, lyricist, actor and dean emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City. He was best known as the host of the Bravo cable television series Inside the Actors Studio.

During an interview with Parade Magazine Lipton revealed that the two met at ballet and after taking one look at her he fell madly in love, “We met at the ballet. I took one look at her and I fell madly in love. I called her the next day and asked her to have dinner with me. Nine months later we were married.”

Lipton said in an interview with Parade Magazine that his greatest achievement in life was in no doubt marrying Kedakai. When asked why his marriage had lasted 40 years he said, “Because Kedakai is a masterpiece.”

James Lipton Death – James Lipton Cause of Death

James died on March 2, 2020 following a battle with bladder cancer. His death was confirmed by his wife who told TMZ that Lipton died peacefully Monday morning at his New York City home.

“There are so many James Lipton stories but I’m sure he would like to be remembered as someone who loved what he did and had tremendous respect for all the people he worked with.”
