He serves as a republican politician who was an ally of former President Donald Trump and a proponent of far-right politics. Gaetz announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Ginger Luckey, the sister of Oculus VR founder and major Republican donor Palmer Luckey in Dec 2021. Gaetz is the son of renowned Florida politician Don Gaetz. He was raised in Fort Walton Beach in, Florida. He is a graduate of the William & Mary Law School. Gabriefly worked in private practice before running for state representative. Gaetz served as a Florida House Rep from 2010 to 2016. He has been receiving nationwide attention for defending Florida’s controversial “stand-you-ground-law.” In 2016, Gaetz was elected to the US House of Representatives. He was re-elected in 2018, 2020, and 2022.
