John Ozbilgen Stephanie Parze
Ozbilgen and Stephanie Parze were previously in a relationship. While they were in a relationship Parze accused him of physical abuse on multiple occasions. In September 2019, Ozbilgen was arrested and accused of hitting Parze in the head. In June 2019 NBC New York reported that Ozbilgen had caused Parze “minor injury and pain” during an assault.
Stephanie Parze disappeared on October 30, 2019. Her parents told NBC New York that Parze had been out at a family event with her parents and three sisters in New Brunswick prior to her disappearance. Parze’s last social media activity was a Snapchat photo of her night out with her family from October 30. Her phone was found on the couch of her home and her car was in the driveway.
On November 19, 2019 Ozbligen was named as a person of interest in Parze’s disappearance. Prosecutors revealed that Ozbilgen was texting and Facebook messaging Parze the night before she vanished. They said Ozbilgen sent Parze 10 unanswered messages in about nine minutes before he texted that she was a “f—— c—.”
Assistant Prosecutor Caitlyn Sidley said he ended the conversation by telling her that “she always has to make their relationship suck.”
Sidley added that while investigating the authorities noticed marks around Ozbilgen’s neck. The prosecutors added that during the investigation the police learned that Parze told others that she was in fear for her life because he continued to have contact with her after that Sept. 23 incident.
According to prosecutors, Ozbilgen has a restraining order against him from a previous relationship in New York.

“He maintains his innocence in regards to his child pornography charge. My client maintains that he did not have these things on his phone intentionally.” His lawyer told reporters.
He spent 11 days in jail before he was released when a judge ruled that the one count he was being held on, was not enough for him to remain detained.
Caitlin Sidley, Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor told Asbury Park Press that investigators found images of children as young as 3 being sexually abused by adult men. Sidley said the suspect’s “violence against women is borne out in his history, as well as pornography he seeks out of very young children. There are no conditions that can keep this community safe.”
