Kacey Rae Bowers who was best known for being the daughter of Russell Bowers the current speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives passed away back on Jan 28, 2021.

Her death was subject to the public hearings before the US House select committee after his father testified on the January 6 attack on Tue, June 21, 2022. The Arizona speaker described to the House committee how crowds routinely visited his house following the 2020 election to protest his decision to not declare the election rigged. At the time, he was looking after his daughter who had a terminal illness.
In 2020, Bowers refused to cooperate with the attempts to overturn the presidential election pitted between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Hey publicly stated that there was no evidence of election fraud that would mandate rejection of the results of the 2020 United States presidential election in Arizona.
Bowers also killed a bill in the Arizona House of Representatives which would have allowed the state legislature to override the results of a presidential election in Arizona.

Kacey Rae Bowers passed away on Jan 28, 2021, at the age of 42. At the time, her son Lorenzo Bowers and her parents were beside her. She had been suffering from an undisclosed terminal illness.
According to her obituary, Kacey was born and raised in Mesa Arizona and attended the Mesa public schools. She went on to attend Yavapai College where she competed on the Rough Riders volleyball team. Her most important achievement according to her was when she earned a Master’s degree in Professional Counselling where she got a chance to work with people with challenging needs within the Arizona communities.
