Kathy Gohmert is best known for being the wife of Louie Gohmert, an American attorney, politician, and former jurist serving as the U.S representative for Texas’s 1st congressional district since 2005.  Gohmert announced his candidacy in the 2022 Texas Attorney General election in November 2021. He, unfortunately, failed to advance to the Republican primary runoff, getting 17% of the vote.

Gohmert is in the headlines after he met and presented Simon Gold with an American flag that had flown on the Capitol upon his release in September 2022. Gold was convicted as a participant in January 6th Capitol riots.
