Katie McKee is an American reporter, anchor and freelancer journalist from Springfield, Ohio. She is a traffic reporter for Channel 6’s Good Day Columbus.

Katie began her career in journalism as a reporter. She landed her first reporting opportunity at the Fox Affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. While there she broke a story of a missing 15-year-old girl named Gabbiee Swainson, that eventually made national headlines.

She later joined NBC Affiliate WIS in the Palmetto State where she worked as a morning reporter and anchored the noon newscast. In 2015 she moved to Jacksonville Florida joining CBS/FOX as a reporter. During her time in Florida, she spent a week in Orlando covering the Pulse Night Club Shooting as well as Hurricane Matthew and the storm’s aftermath.

In June 2017 she joined the Good Day Columbus team at ABC6/FOX28 as a traffic reporter/anchor.

Katie was arrested by the Ohio Highway Patrol on August 16 and charged with drunken driving. The troopers say they received a 911 call in Union County reporting a jeep all over the roadway. The arrest was first reported by FTVlive.com. Troopers said they were able to get behind the jeep and witness the driver crossing marked lanes on numerous occasions, as well as driving through the middle of the road.

Katie told the troopers after she was stopped that she had only taken one glass wine. She, however, failed the sobriety test and was arrested.
