Keith Wonderboy Johnson is an American gospel musician who is reported to have died on Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 50. He started his solo music career in 1998 with the release of, Through the Storm, released by World Wide Gospel Records.
Throughout his lifetime, he released fourteen albums, over thirteen years, with World Wide Gospel Records, Worldwide Records, Verity Records, Central South Records, and Blacksmoke Records. Eleven albums have charted on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart, with other chartings on the Independent Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts.

Johnson was born on May 17, 1972, as Keith Lamar Johnson, in Brooklyn, New York. At five, he was given the moniker “Wonderboy” because of his wondrous vocal acumen. He has an older sister Sonya. Started singing with his father, Philip Johnson, and Uncles with The original spiritual voices.
Johnson studied Business at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and graduated in 1994. He also went to Nazareth Regional High School class of 1990.

Robinson Sr. confirming Johnson’s death, wrote in a tribute, “Dude here was a real one in the industry, when all the quartet groups wouldn’t show, overcharged me, Keith Wonderboy Johnson II said Rev shoot me a date and I will be there – He did just that, whenever I called him to come to Valdosta, Gainsville, and even Alabama.
Bruh, you blessed the masses with your anointing and love for music. I know now your going to hide behind the mountain, where the chilly, chilly winds don’t blow.”
