Kimesha Monae Williams is the older sister of Kawhi Lenorad, an NBA basketballer. She is in the public limelight for robbing and then murdering an 84-year-old elderly woman alongside her friend, Candace Tai Townsel. The incident took place on the morning of August 31st, 2019.

Kimesha Monae Williams is currently 35 years of age as of 2019. She is a resident of Moreno Valley, California, USA. Her parents are Kim Robertson( mother) and Mark Leonard (father). Besides her, she has three sisters and a younger brother, Kawhi Lenorad in her family.

Her father Mark Leonard died back in January 2008 after being shot at the car washing company, which he owned. As of now, the murderer is still at large and has not been found as of now.

Kawhi Leonard is the younger brother of Kimesha. Kawhi Leonard is a professional basketball player. He is also a  two-time MVP and NBA Defensive Player of the Year and signed a three-year, $103 million contract with the Clippers in July 2019. The 28-year-old has not been charged in connection to the slaying, the Press-Enterprise noted.

Williams’ aunt Denise Woodard confirmed Williams is Leonard’s sister, but tried to distance him from the incident.

“He didn’t have anything to do with this,” Woodard told The Press-Enterprise.

Kimesha Monae Williams Charged with Murder

Williams has been charged with robbing and murdering an 84-year-old woman having been arrested on September 3rd, 2019. She is accused of killing Afaf Anis Assad, 84, on Saturday, August 31st in a Temecula, Calif., casino, according to The Press-Enterprise. Likewise her partner, Candace Tai Townsel was also charged with the same crime by the Californian police. The incident took place Resort Casino called Pechanga in Temecula, which is situated 120 km southeast of LA, California.

Williams was arrested on September 3rd, 2019.

The two were taken into custody and are held without bail with the court appearance scheduled on September 19th.

Monae Williams Murder Victim (Afaf Anis Assad)

The murder victim in the case was identified as 86-year-old Afaf Anis Assad. Williams and her pal Candace Tai Townsel, 39, allegedly followed Assad into a bathroom at the Pechanga Resort Casino, where they bashed her head in and stole her purse containing $800–$1,200.

The elder woman was found unconscious in the bathroom. She was hospitalized with internal brain bleeding and a broken skull. Assad died on September 4th, 2019. Assad was accompanied by her husband, Youanness aged 94.
