William True Stevenson, a Clearwater, Florida captain and a professional fishing trip guide, is best known for being the son of Kirstie Alley and her ex-husband, Parker Stevenson. Her mom Kirstie Alley, an Emmy Award winner for her role as Rebecca Howe on Cheers, is reported to have died at 71 on December 5, 2022.

William True Stevenson was adopted at the tender of one week after his birth on October 5, 1992. His adoption happens following Alley’s miscarriage. The couple, Stevenson and Alley, adopted a daughter named Lillie in 1995.
William got married at 17 while he was still in school. Her mother speaking at the Ellen DeGeneres Show said he was giving him her full support in his marriage. “I feel good because they’re really in love. True’s got a level head. He’s a good guy. He’s very monogamous, and he’s very sweet with her,” Alley said.

Alley was first marriage was to her high school sweetheart Bob Alley, from 1970 to 1977. Her first husband’s name was coincidentally the same as her father’s. Alley married actor Parker Stevenson on December 22, 1983. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1997.

Kirstie Alley died after a short battle with cancer on December 5, 2022. He was 71 years old.
Confirming the news of her death, her two children, William and Lillie, release a statement on Alley’s Twitter account that reads,
“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce, and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered. She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”
