Lily Peters ( full name was Iliana M Peters) was a 10-year-old girl who had been reported missing by her father on Sunday, was found dead a day later according to a statement by the Chippewa Falls Police Department. The girl was found dead around 9:15 a.m on Monday, April 25. Her body was found near a walking trail between the end of NorthGrove Street and Leinekugels’s Brewery Parking Lot. The police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
“We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Lily Peters during this tragic time,” Matthew Kelm the Chippewa Falls Police Chief said in a Press release.
According to a missing person flier, Lily was 10 years old and a fourth-year grader at Parkview Elementary.
Lily Peters Missing
Lily was reported missing on Sunday, April 24 by her father. She was last seen at her aunt’s house which is located on the 400block of North Grove Street as per her family. She was supposed to be heading to her home on the 50 block of East Birch Street on a bicycle. The said bicycle was found in the woods near her aunt’s residence.
At the time she went missing, she was wearing a purple long-sleeved shirt with black stretch pants and grey shoes.
The Chippewa Falls Police Department is requesting anyone with information to contact them at (715) 726-7701 and also added the resident to stay vigilant as there may be a danger to the public.
Lily Peters’ Father Reported her Missing after she failed to return home from her aunt’s place
Lily Peters’ father said she did not return home after visiting her aunt’s house on the 400 block of North Grove Street. As earlier reported, she was supposed to be heading home to the 50 block of East Birch Street, but she wasn’t found in the area
