Witchell and Maria Staples, a former Army officer tied the knot in December 2014 after dating for 14 years after his relationship with his first lover and partner, Carolyn ended in 2000. At the time the two got married, Witchell was 61 while Maria was 46. The ceremony took place at Westminster Register Office.
