Natasha Conabeer is a 23-year-old KwaZulu-Natal woman who died on Monday morning September 9th, 2019, hours after she was found and rushed to hospital in a critical condition. She was reported missing on Agust 18th, 201. According to reports, she had left her flat in Florida Road to visit family in Inanda.

Natasha Conabeer Dies Hours after being Found
On Sunday, it was reported that she had been found alive after the unconscious student was dropped outside her home on Sunday morning September 8th. She was taken to hospital where her mother, Rosemary Conabeer told News24 that “doctors are doing everything they can for her”.
Unfortunately on Monday morning September 9th, news broke that she had died in hospital. According to a family friend Zamambo Mkhize who spoke to News21: She passed away earlier this morning in hospital.”
Natasha Conabeer Cause of Death
Natasha’s cause of death remains a mystery. Police have opened an inquest docket at Durban North police station, Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said.

On Monday, September 9th, The University of KwaZulu-Natal has confirmed that Natasha Conabeer was not a student at any of their campuses. According to UKZN spokesperson, Ashton Bodrick, Conabeer had applied to study at the tertiary institution in 2014, however she never followed through and formally registered. “This, however, does not diminish the outrage we feel as the UKZN community that is primarily made up of young people like her,” Bodrick said.
In a statement issued on Monday, Bodrick said they were shocked and deeply saddened by Conabeer’s death.
“We extend out sincere condolences to her family at this difficult time. We urge law enforcement to urgently bring the perpetrators to book,” he said.
