Pam Krause Car Accident
Back in October 1995, Pam Krause was involved in a car accident that left her critically injured. She spent a long time in a coma but managed to make a miraculous recovery where doctors had already written her off.
In 1998, Krause was inducted into the Hall of Fame ballot after missing out for the past two years. At the time, the two had been married for 35 years. They met in their early 20s.
At the time of his induction, Krause scored and offered a tearful tribute to his wife of 35 years, Pam as reported by the New York Times.
”Two and a half years ago, my wife was in a terrible car accident,” Krause said. ”She was in a coma for five and a half months. The doctors told me she would not make it. They told me that if I believed in God, I should start praying.
He went on to describe how the family had had a rough time after the accident. He said that he did not make the Hall of Fame during that awful time. He was up for consideration then and his wife told him, ‘You’re going to make it this time. God wants me to be there when you get in.’ Well, Pam, it’s happened just the way you said.”
