Paul Haddad was a British-born Canadian actor and voice actor. During his decades-long career, Haddad performed in many different roles, and he is best known as being the voice of Leon S. Kennedy in the video game Resident Evil 2. He was also the voice of Uncle Arthur in the children’s show Babar.

He was born on May 20, 1963, in Birmingham, England, UK and died on April 15th, 2020 at the age of 56. He was living in Toronto, Canada, at the time of his death.
Paul Haddad Family, Education
Haddad was the eldest of three children. Haddad attended McGill University, where he studied acting and was of Iranian descent. In 1988, he graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada, in Montreal, Quebec.
Paul Haddad Career
Haddad performed in the Stratford Theatre Festival in Stratford, Ontario for two years. In the 1996 festival, he played Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice. Haddad voiced Uncle Arthur in Babar from 1989–1991.
Haddad’s voice roles include Quads, Mythic Warriors, Cyberchase, Noddy, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Little Bear, The Magic School Bus, RoboRoach, Pearlie, Franny’s Feet, The Adventures of Tintin and Rupert.
In 1995, Haddad played Gerald Schulze, Edward Schulze’s (Matt Frewer) brother who runs the local market in the DisneyToon Studios animated comedy film BugHunt. He voiced Willy Stop in the animated series Rescue Heroes.
He is best known for voicing Leon S. Kennedy in the video game Resident Evil 2. Due to the popularity of his voice work in Resident Evil 2, Haddad was asked to voice a character in Daymare: 1998 (which he announced via a YouTube video in January 2019).
Paul Haddad Death & Cause
Haddad resided in Toronto, Canada. Haddad said on a YouTube live stream that he suffered from stage three throat cancer and had a tumor growing on one of his vocal cords, however, the tumor was removed, altering his voice in the process. He posted the last and final message about his career and personal life on Facebook.
Haddad died on April 15th, 2020. His death was confirmed on April 17 by Invader Studios, saying “Paul Haddad, our dear friend and an icon among the [Resident Evil] community, has passed away recently. We’ve been truly honored to have the chance to meet and work with such a great man and a brilliant professional that he was. Rest in peace Paul. You will live forever in our hearts.”
