Du Preez is in the spotlight for wrong reasons after a video started making rounds of him touching a waitress at a local restaurant. The footage of the incident happened on Friday night, Feb 28th.
The distressed waitress posted the clip on Facebook exposing the man, identified as Reyn du Preez. In her post she wrote: “It breaks my heart! I’ve watched it over and over again…feeling more like trash each time. Men of South Africa this is happening on a regular basis [sic]…what are you going to do about it?”
The waitress in the post thanked Du Preez’s friends who reportedly intervened by stopping him when he allegedly continued to “insult” and “humiliate” the waitress after groping her.
She also said: “I only hope that more can be done next time.”
Reyn du Preez Apologized for hs Inappropriate Actions
Du Preez released a public apology to the waitress on his Instagram Stories saying that he was “ashamed” of his actions and declared it “a moment of bad character under the influence of alcohol”.
“I truly did not mean to belittle her or make her feel violated. I am not here to make any excuses, but to explain my actions and to public apologise [sic],” he wrote.
He called the experience a “life lesson” and an opportunity to reflect on the person he wanted to be in the future.

Reyn du Preez Model
The model has since lost his representation at not one but two modelling agencies. The German-based modelling agency MODELWERK, where Du Preez worked, issued a statement after hearing of the news on Monday.
“We have no tolerance for his unacceptable behaviour and condemn it in no uncertain terms. Upon being made aware of his actions yesterday, we terminated his representation with our agency – effective immediately.”
Du Preez’s “professional relationship” with local agency Boss Models SA has also been terminated with immediate effect. “Boss Models unequivocally condemns the behaviour of Reyn du Preez as displayed in the video that has surfaced on social media,” the agency announced via Instagram Stories.
