Davy Morgan is an Irish rider who died on Monday, June 6 in a crash during the first Supersport race event of Isle of Man TT.

Morgan was a regular fixture in racing paddocks across Ireland, the Isle of Man, and at the Macau Grand Prix. He participated in the mentioned races for almost 30 years. He was the winner of a 250cc race at the North West 200 in 2005 and had other two victories in the same class at the Ulster Grand Prix in 2012 and 2017.
Davy Morgan Racer Dies in an Accident
Davy Morgan was killed in a crash during the first supersport race of the Isle of Man TT event. He was 52 years old at the time of his death and had three decades of racing experience. Morgan was making his 80th TT start since debuting in 2022 when the fatal accident. The racer was on the third and final lap on the mountain section of the course.
The race organiser released a statement confirming the sad news, “It is with a heavy heart that we confirm Morgan’s death who suffered a fatal accident on the third and final lap in Isle of Man TT race. The organisers went on to pass their deepest sympathy to Morgan’s partner Trudy, his family, loved ones, and friends.
Josh Daley wrote a tribute on his Facebook page that reads, “Absolutely gutted, Davy Morgan was a great mate and great racer who I learnt a lot off starting my road racing career. I went out in the Superstock race this afternoon and felt so strange not shaking each other’s hand and telling each other to have a good one. Thoughts are with Davy’s family and team”
