On June 25, 2019, Carmelo was photographed lounging with a woman, who has been identified as Sara Smith, on a massive yacht in southern France. His wife La La was celebrating her 36th birthday in New York City at the time.

Before Sara was identified people speculated that it was Anthony’s alleged baby mama, 24-year-old Mia Angel Burks but she took to Instagram stories to slam him.

After the photos surfaced Carmelo denied that he was cheating on his wife, La La Anthony, and that the woman in question was with her husband and the rest of her family. He said that he was in Europe on a business trip and had been on the yacht as a friend.

Carmelo told TMZ Sports that the rumours were affecting his family and was calling for everyone to correct their reporting because it’s hurting him, hurting the other woman and other people involved.

“All them bloggers that’s trying to put that out there, that sh*t is not cool at all. That’s not cool at all. Let that family be they family, they married. The only reason I’m addressing this is because this is affecting my family now and you got me out here looking crazy. Usually, I won’t address this, but I had to address this. Can’t let this one slide, because this sh*t ain’t cool no more. Peace.”
