Shawn King (born; Shawn Ora Engemann) is the seventh wife of Larry King, she is an actress and former singer and TV host. On August 20, 2019 it was reported that Larry King had filed for divorce from his wife after 22 years of marriage.

After Shawn finished her university education she began a career in acting as a supporting actress in Hollywood productions. She became well known for her appearance in a number of prime-time TV shows like ‘Knight Rider’, ‘The A-Team’, ‘McCormick’, ‘Hardcastle’, and ‘Riptide’. In 1982, she was seen in one episode of the very successful ‘Remington Steele’ and in 1984, in ‘Cover Up’ and ‘Monaco Forever’, a comedy film. She was the voice of ‘Connie’ in ‘Rover Dangerfield’, a 1991 movie about a show dog that ended up on a farm after being dumped.

She worked as a TV host, she co-hosted ‘The Spectacular World of Guinness Records’ with David Frost. She also hosted, ‘Hollywood Insider from 1990-1998 on ‘The USA Network.’

After her marriage to Larry she took a career break and resumed in 2005 as a country song musician. She made her debut with the Steve Tyrell production, ‘In My Own Backyard’ for ‘Lofton Creek Records’. She also sang the title track of a compilation CD, ‘Gotta Love the Holidays’ in 2012 in support of the Larry King Cardiac Foundation.

In 2015 she also acted along Patrick Stewart and Jon Heder in the movie, Christmas Eve’. She also appeared along Larry in the movie ‘Starlight’ in December 2018.

Larry King filed for divorce on August 20, 2019 in Los Angeles Superior Court. According to the court filing, the two separated on June 6, 2019. The filing cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

This is the second time Larry has filed for divorce as in 2010 he had filed for divorce but withdrew his petition after the pair reconciled.

It was alleged that Shawn had an affair with Richard Greene, a former lawyer in Los Angeles, California. Daily Mail reported that Greene works as a communications strategist and public speaking trainer.

According to Page Six Shawn and Greene met when he was a guest on the podcast, “Back and Forth with Shawn and Larry.” According to the National Enquirer Shawn had sent nude photos and engaged in “steamy afternoon sex sessions” with Richard Greene. The report was however dubbed “inaccurate” by attorneys representing Larry and Shawn King.

Shawn was also accused of having an affair with Hector Penate, who was his children’s former little league baseball coach. Shawn died the rumors but during an interview Penate claimed he had slept with Shawn in her marital bed during a rendezvous back in 2007.
