Lady Susie Moss is the wife to Sir Stirling Craufurd Moss, OBE, a British Formula One racing driver. The motor racing legend is reported to have died at the age of 90 following a long illness on Sunday, April 12th, 2020

She is currently 67 years old as of 2020. When the couple got married back in 1980, she was 27 and while Stirling was 50. Speaking of their age gap, he said to Guardian, ” I know some people might think that is quite a big age gap, but, frankly, we have never noticed it.”

Stirling told the Guardian that he had known Susie nearly all her life. He first met her in the 50s when she was just five years old. Her family lived in Hong Kong and in those days you could get suits and shirts made there for just a few quid. Her mother worked for the Rootes Group, a big motor company, and she helped to organise things for the motor racing legend. Stirling spoke of his time in Japan saying, “Back then I was not so much of a hotel person, and they invited me to stay with them whenever I was over.”
The couple came back to Britain at the end of the 1960s and Stirling took Susie to her first Grand Prix. At the time, She wasn’t into racing at all – she was more of a jazz groupie – but would later get into liking thee sport.
Their relationship started out as just a really good friendship but then it developed into something much deeper. They celebrated their wedding in 1980 which lasted for 3 decades, until his death in April 2020.
In the early 90s, the organisers only paid for the race car, driver and one mechanic and Susie had to learn to change the ratios on my gearbox. Stirling told the guardian, “It was quite funny, as all these American wives were standing around watching, amazed, as Susie rolled up her sleeves and got on with it. So I thought it was time to give her a refresher course.”

The couple has two children, a son Elliot Moss and their daughter, Allison Bradley. Elliot is a chef (he trained at Le Gavroche with Michel Roux Jr)
Stirling Moss Death & Cause
Stirling Moss died on April 11ths, 2020 aged 90 following a long illness, his wife announced Sunday.
“It was one lap too many,” Susie Moss told Britain’s Press Association. “He just closed his eyes.”
Although Moss never won the Formula One title, he finished runner-up four times and third three times.
British media reported Moss’s passing was the result of a chest infection he caught in Singapore in December 2016 that saw him retire from public life two years later. There is no suggestion his death was linked to the coronavirus.
