Tania Marissa Maranhao a business owner and member of the Cranford Area Chamber of Commerce is reported to have passed away as per a statement by the Downtown Cranford on April 29.
She is the founder of Yumpanadas
Marissa is the founder of Yumpanadas, a famous soup native to Haitian cuisine established in 2020. It is located at 101 Miln St, Cranford, NJ 07016. The restaurant prides itself as the creator of delicious beef, chicken, seafood, pork, vegan and dessert empanadas, and much more.
What was Tania Marissa Maranhao Cause of Death?
Marissa’s cause of death has not been revealed as of yet. The Downtown Cranford in New Jersey which offers a variety of restaurants, services, and unique shops confirmed her death in a Facebook post. The statement reads, “It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Tania Marissa Maranhao.”
In their tribute, The Downtown Cranford wrote that Marissa opened Yumpanadas in 2020 and was an important member of the Cranford community. “Our thoughts are with Marissa’s family, friends, employees, and the Cranford community. She will be dearly missed.”

✏ I’ve been in the food industry for 20 years. My business has been active since May 2018.

✏ I contribute my success to hard work, help from friends and family, and the support of my community.
📣 Who are the most influential women throughout history in your life and why?
✏ The most influential women in my life have been my Grandmother, Mother, and Sister. They have been pillars of strength and a representation of what hard work and determination exemplify I’m so proud and grateful for them and I hope that I make them exceptionally proud also.
