Terry Long a 32-year-old resident of 385 Wildwood Ronkonkoma was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting outside of a home on Long Island on Friday, April 29. Eyewitnesses around the area where the shooting happened say they heard a barrage of rapid gunfire around 8:50 a.m.
What have the Police said of the incident?
Suffolk County Police Detective, Lt. Kevin Beyrer said, “What we’ve learned so far is that a 31-year-old resident of 385 Wildwood had started his car, went back into the house, came back to his car and a number of shots were fired at him and his car and at the house.”
The police say that the shooting was not random. Residents of the Ronkonkoma were left rattled since the block of the incident has generally been quit. Also at the time, many children were heading to school and adults were heading to work.
