Tony Sirico was born in New York on July 29, 1942. He was best known for his role as Peter Paul “Paulie Walnuts” Gualtieri in The Sopranos. He also made numerous appearances in the films Woody Allen.
He is being reported to have passed away at the age of 79 on July 8, 2022. Confirming his death, Michael Imperioli, Sopranos costar confirmed that Sirico had died on Friday. No cause of death has been provided. His manager said that the famed actor died while in an assisted living home in Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
“Tony was like no one else: he was as tough, as loyal, and as big-hearted as anyone I’ve ever known. I was at his side through so much: through good times and bad. But mostly good. And we had a lot of laughs,” Imperioli said of Sirico. “
