Jeff Peller of the Peller Estates Winery family and the man behind the vision of Sweetgrass Equestrian is being reported to have passed away as per statements by family and friends shared on November 10 at the age of 57. He was an Avid horseman, actor, theatre director, producer and entrepreneur.

He is survived by his fiancée Tiffany Nanchin whom he got engaged to on February 2, 2020, as per her Facebook. When he met Tiffany, their collective creative minds were an unrivaled team and they are not only now engaged but are the perfect business team bringing new equine partnerships and business developments to life.
Tiffany is from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, and with the support of her amazing parents and brother David, started on her horse journey at the age of 3 with her first pony Queenie. She instantly fell in love and never looked back. Always knowing she wanted to study and learn about horses and make their lives better.
Jeff’s and Tiffany’s love for horses had been with them all throughout his life. Jeff competed in Hunter/Jumper and Steeple-chasing but his greatest riding enjoyment remained fox hunting where he was a Hunt Master of the Wellington Waterloo Hunt.
His dream was to have a premium property for his horses to reside in and with Sweetgrass Equestrian that dream is now a reality. He was the owner while his fiancée is a partner at Sweetgrass Equestrian. The care they provide starts with the premium hay they supply to their own horses and have now been made available to a further reach with their business Canadian Hay Distributors.
Jeff Peller Background
According to his biography, Jeff was the artistic director of the actors studio of Canada where he taught acting and directed many successful theatrical productions. His artistic resume includes many productions that he has acted, directed and produced to rave reviews. Jeff is no stranger to ambitious projects and big ideas.
Jeff was a member in good standing with Canadian Actors Equity Association and ACTRA. In 1998, he was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by the Hamilton & District Chamber of Commerce. A year later, he was nominated for and won the award for Commitment to Education and Training at the Greater Hamilton Tourism & Marketing Awards.
Jeff also participated in marathon events with his most recent one as per his bio being his seventh consecutive Boston Marathon on October 11, 2021.

His Mom died of Alzheimer
Jeff raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support finding a cure for Alzheimer‘s. He ran each year in honor of his mother Connie who passed away from Alzheimer’s on May 28th, 2013.
Jeff Peller Death & Cause
News of Jeff Peller’s passing surfaced on November 10, 2021, from friends and family. His friend, Dawn Peace wrote in a tribute, “We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of another friend, Jeff Peller. We hope all three of these men (including my Dad) can Ride-on Together like they used to. We have many great memories that we will cherish, especially the special wine rides at Peller Estates in Niagara that Jeff kindly organized for us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and friends.”
The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society wrote, “OSAS would like to send sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jeff Peller at this difficult time. Very saddened to hear of his sudden passing. He will certainly be missed by all of those who knew him. RIP Jeff from all of us at OSAS.”
