Adam Azhari a Finance Student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is being reported to have passed away on Wednesday, October 20 at the age of 20. His cousin Ali Elazhari confirmed his death stating that his funeral is scheduled for Friday, October 22.

Azhari was working as an Equity Research Analyst at Illinois Investment Management Academy from Oct 2020. He wrote on his Linkedln that he was one of 40 students admitted to a highly selective multi-year program tailored to careers in investment management.
Adam Azhari previously worked at Investment Portfolio Organization – the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as President (May-2021 until his death), VP of Marketing (Aug 2021-Apr 2021), and Student Member (Sep 2019 – Aug 2020).
He also interned at Stado Capital and Wealth Planning – Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. (May 2021 – Aug 2021).
He was studying for his Bachelor’s degree in Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2019 and was expected to graduate in 2023. He went to Carl Sandburg High School from 2015 to 2019. In high school, he was a member of the Investment Club, Mu Alpha Theta, National Spanish Honors Society.
Adam Azhari Death & Cause
Azhari passed away on Wednesday, October 20 at the age of 20. His cousin Ali Elazhari confirmed his death stating that his funeral is scheduled for Friday, October 22.
In a tribute, he wrote, “It is with deepest sympathies that I share the news of the passing of my dear cousin, Adam El Azhari, yesterday. At only 20, he had a bright future ahead of him and often comment that if my children grow up to be 50% as good as Adam and his brother, Aymen, that I have done a good job in parenting. Please see the arrangements for his services tomorrow.
Allah, surely my cousin, Adam El Azhari, is under Your protection and in the rope of Your security. Please save him from the trial of the grave and punishment of fire. You fulfill promises and grant rights, so forgive him and have mercy on him. Surely You are Most Forgiving and Most Merciful.”
