Angela is the president of Fundamental Change, a mental health organisation. She is a passionate advocate for mental health care can be traced back to her childhood. She was raised in the San Fernando Valley by her single mother, diagnosed with Bipolar I with schizoaffective disorder when Angela was still very young.
This motivated Angela to study for a bachelor’s in psychology at California State University.

Padilla who was born on March 22nd, 1973 is an American politician serving as the 32nd secretary of state of California. He is also the U.S. Senator-designate to replace Vice President-elect Kamala Harris in the U.S. Senate. He is the son of Mexican immigrants and the state’s first Latino senator in US history.
A member of the Democratic Party, Padilla previously served in the California State Senate, representing the 20th district after his election to November 2006. Before serving in the Senate, he served for more than seven years on the Los Angeles City Council, representing the 7th district. In 1999, he was elected President of the Los Angeles City Council in July 2001 and retained the position through December 2005.
On December 22, 2020, Padilla was selected by Governor Gavin Newsom to replace Vice President-elect Harris in the United States Senate. Padilla will be the first Latino Senator from California and the first male senator to represent the state since 1992
Following his selection, Padilla has said: “I do think for the Latino community, it is a historic moment.” The senator’s education includes a degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, after which he worked for Hughes Aircraft in Southern California.
