Cheryl Pence whose full name is Cheryl Mcbee Pence, a 56-year-old missing woman from Rye, Colorado has been found dead as per the Monroe County Sheriff’s office. She was described as 5’2″, weighed 100lbs with Brown and Gray hair.
She worked as an Independent Insurance Adjuster at Pence Claims as per her Facebook. The Monroe Sheriff’s office released a statement on Tuesday, Jan 13 that reads, “Monroe County Sheriff Tom Boatwright advises that his deputies and investigators are on scene where a female body was found near the Monroe / Wilcox County line. It is believed that this may be the body of missing Colorado woman, Cheryl Pence”

The Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama has been asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 56-year-old female from Rye, Colorado, who may need medical attention. Cheryl Pence was reported missing on Saturday, January 1, 2022, after she and her son were separated and both were lost in the woods around County Road 45, near the Monroe County line.
Search crews located Cheryl’s son on Monday, Jan 3rd. Multiple search and rescue teams scoured the woods around the area in an attempt of trying to find her. Cheryl had some health issues, and she has been without her medication for a week. At the time of her disappearance, Cheryl was last seen wearing a black tank top, black pants, and sandals. She has tattoos of a small heart on her chest, a dolphin on her waistline, and a tree of life on the back of her right shoulder.

Becky McBee, a family member wrote before news that Cheryl’s body had been found, “I’m sure by now hundreds of people have seen the post of my sister that is missing Cheryl Pence. The family has been doing everything humanly possible to try to locate her everything from calling new stations, radio stations, newspapers, and putting up flyers where she went missing also in Florida.
We are now asking if anyone knows of a private detective or someone that has dealt with missing people, that could give us some information on what our next step should be we truly have run out of ideas. The sheriff’s office is still continuing in the search every day with dogs, and drones. We truly appreciate any advice anyone has on other avenues that we can take in locating her. This is day 10 now that she has been missing, but we are not giving up hope. So please if anyone has any type of advice for his dealt with something like this themselves or know someone that has dealt with like this please we welcome the advice.”
