Dylan Syer Bio, Wiki
Dylan Jason Syer is a 29-year-old Long Island resident and celebrity personal shopper who is in the headlines after being charged for allegedly robbing over $1 million from comedian Kevin Hart. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced on Wednesday, February 10, that Syer had been indicted and arranged on “grand larceny” and other charges of fraud.
DA’s statement alleged that Syer had made over a million dollars in unauthorized purchases using the comedian’s credit cards between October 2017 and February 2019.
Syer first met Hart in 2015 through “personal shopping business, Sire Consulting, LLC, through which he was contracted to obtain several items for the actor.” It further states that Syer allegedly obtained the details of Hart’s credit card through the transactions that occurred early on with an understanding that he would “only make authorized purchases”.
Katz said, “The defendant thought he was beyond reach and was living out his uber-rich lifestyle fantasies. But my team uncovered the bogus purchases — from the credit card charges being processed by the bank, down to tracking FedEx packages delivered to Syer’s home and business.”
Dylan Syer Bought Luxury Items
Syer allegedly bought ‘fine art, collectibles, and watches’. The investigation has revealed that he used Hart’s money, after transferring it into “his bank account”, to buy thousands of “dollars of fine art and other collectibles, and Phillipe watches valued at more than $400,000.”
The purchases reportedly included “at least 5 Patek Phillipe watches valued at more than $400,000” along with Sam Friedman painting, 5 KAWS collectible dolls, and two Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandouliere bags, and at least 16 Bearbrick collectibles dolls.
Following his arrest on Wednesday, Feb 9th, the court reportedly issued a search warrant for Syer’s home, and at the time of the seize, the police are said to have acquired cold and cash worth $250,000, according to the DA report.
Following Syers’s arrest and the charges he’s facing Katz said, “I want to send a strong message to the defendant and others who seek financial gain through the victimization of others, that my team and I are committed to aggressively pursuing these actions and separating those who commit crimes from their ill-gotten gains, and returning those funds, where practical, to support the victims.”
