George Evans, 34 and works for a non-profit in Manhattan is best known for being the son of Former Sunday Times editor Sir Harold Evans and journalist Tina Brown.

His mother is Christina Hambley Brown CBE, a journalist, magazine editor, columnist, talk-show host, and author of The Diana Chronicles, a biography of Diana, Princess of Wales. His father is Sir Harold Evans, a British-American journalist and writer who was editor of The Sunday Times from 1967 to 1981.
The British-American journalist, who led an investigation into the drug Thalidomide, died of heart failure in New York on September 23rd, 2020 according to his wife, Tina Brown. His 70-year career also saw him work as a magazine founder, book publisher, author and – at the time of his death – Reuters’ editor-at-large.
RIP Harold Evans, the greatest editor of the 20th Century during his time at the Sunday Times. In later life he also founded the original avatar of Conde Nast Traveller.

Sir Harold was editor of the Sunday Times for 14 years and oversaw many campaigns in that time. He then went on to become the founding editor of Conde Nast Traveller magazine and later president of the publishing giant, Random House.
