Goran Gajić is a Serbian film, television, and theater director. He has directed media in English and Serbian language. He is also best known for being the wife of actress Mira Furlan, known for playing the role of Minbari Ambassador Delenn on the sci-fi series ‘Babylon 5’. It is being reported that she has passed away on January 20, 2021. The tragic news was confirmed on Twitter from her account. Later ‘Babylon 5’ creator Michael Straczynski also dedicated an elaborate tribute to the late actress.

Furlan’s husband was director Goran Gajić, who is an ethnic Serb. He directed her in an episode of Babylon 5 and several plays, including a production of Sophocles’ Antigone. In 1998 he directed his wife (playing Delenn) in And All My Dreams, Torn Asunder, an episode of Babylon 5.
In 1995 he directed an award-winning adaptation of Antigone. The play was performed at Hudson Guild Theatre in Los Angeles.
He has also worked as a writer (The Seventh Day), and an actor (Davitelj protiv davitelja). In the 1980s he also directed Plavi orkestar music videos for their tracks “Kad mi kažeš, “Paša” and “Suada”.
Furlan gave birth to the couple’s only child, Marko Lav, in 1998.

Mira died on Wednesday, Jan 20th, 2021 at the age of 65. Her Twitter account announced the news on Thursday, and “Babylon 5” creator J. Michael Straczynski posted a tribute to the actress later that night.

While a cause of death has yet not been revealed, Straczynski said the cast and crew of “Babylon 5” had “known for some time now that Mira’s health was fading.” “We kept hoping that she would improve,” he wrote. “In a group email sent to the cast a while back, I heard that she might be improving.”
