Jenny Fordham is best known for being the wife of Darts legend Andy Fordham who is being reported to have died Thursday, July 15. He was 59 years old and was battling health problems for a few years. Only a couple of months ago, Fordham had admitted that he was ‘terrified’ of death because of his health problems. Andy died with his wife, Jenny by his side.
Andy Fordham was known for winning the 2004 BDO World Darts Championship and the 1999 Winmau World Masters. In 2009 he switched to the PDC but headed back to the BDO in 2013. He won a number of dart titles including British Matchplay (1995), British Pentathlon (1998, 2003), Finnish Open(1994), Isle of Man Open (1995), Norway Open (1995, 2000), Swiss Open (1994), and the Welsh Open (2002). We witnessed the demise of a few sporting icons recently including ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper, Del Wikes, Jerome Young, and Paul Orndorff.

Andy Fordham was married to his wife, Jenny Fordham for 21 years. The couple met back in the 1980s and got engaged in 1982. Andy and Jenny have two children together Ray and Emily and five grandchildren. Celebrating the couple’s first wedding anniversary in 2001, Fordham drank 62 bottles of Pils.
Andy Fordham Death & Cause
Andy Fordham died on July 15, 2021 (aged 59). A statement on the BDO website said:
“The British Darts Organisation is deeply saddened to hear of the loss of the darts legend Andy (The Viking) Fordham, a true gentleman of the game who will be deeply missed by all. Our hearts and thoughts are with his family at this time.”
Two-time BDO world finalist Bobby George was among those to pay tribute on Twitter.
“Just heard the devastating news that Andy Fordham has passed away. He was a gentle giant and loved by all,” he said. Our condolences go out to his wife Jenny family and friends. RIP Andy Fordham the Viking.”

Fordham, who required a life-saving bowel operation in 2020 and was diagnosed with coronavirus at the start of this year, beat Mervyn King 6-3 in the BDO world final in 2004. After a health scare in 2007 when doctors told Fordham his liver was 75% dead, he enrolled on the reality TV show Celebrity Fit Club.
