Who is Kelly Wilkinson? Queensland mum of three was found dead; Bio, Wiki, Age, Facebook, Ex-Husband

Kelly Wilkinson Bio, Wiki

Kelly Wilkinson is a 27-year-old mother of three who was murdered following a domestic violence incident. On Tuesday evening, Queensland Police released a statement confirming Gold Coast detectives had charged a 34-year-old New Beith man with murder and breaching a domestic violence order.

The man, who remains under police guard in hospital, will have the charges presented to the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday in his absence. Formal identification continues after the body of a woman was located at a Spikes Court address on Tuesday morning, with police believing the deceased to be Wilkinson.

Just before 7 am on Tuesday morning, the burned body of a woman was found in a suburban backyard of a Gold Coast home.

Kelly Wilkinson’s Neighbours Alerted the Police of the Domestic Violence Incident

Neighbours of the home in Spikes Court, Arundel, raised the alarm after hearing shouting at about 6:40 am. When police arrived, they found the woman’s deceased body in the “rear yard of a residence” in what they described as “a very confronting scene”.

First responders also found three children, all under the age of nine, who police say may have witnessed their mother’s death. They are safe and have been taken into care. On a lawn two blocks away, police found a 34-year-old man with serious burn injuries who was “semi-conscious”. He has been arrested.

Kelly Wilkinson was in a Previous Relationship with the said Murderer

Police say the man and woman were known to each other and were possibly in a previous relationship. Detectives have launched a murder investigation and are seeking to determine if Kelly Wilkinson was fatally set alight in an act of domestic violence.

On Tuesday evening April 19th, Queensland Police said they had charged the 34-year-old New Beith man with murder and breaching a domestic violence order. His case will be heard on Wednesday morning at Southport Magistrates Court.

The loved ones of Kelly Wilkinson have set up a GoFundMe page to support her children and help with funeral costs. “We appreciate any help no matter how big or small,” the fundraising page states.

“Unfortunately Kelly has passed away … we are trying to raise money to pay for the funeral, the kids schooling, and all other costs. Please help us! We appreciate any help no matter how big or small,” the page, created by Natalie Wilkinson, said.

In the meantime, police have said the 34-year-old man is undergoing medical treatment, under police guard, at the Gold Coast University Hospital. His injuries may have been an attempt at self-harm, police say.

Whilst detectives are not seeking any other people in relation to the woman’s death at this stage, they have ensured their forensic investigation will be “exhaustive”. Rubbish collections in the local suburb have been stopped, because potential evidence may have been dumped in a bin, they explained.

“We’re canvassing residents in that area to get a better determination of that residence and who lives there and what the movements were there this morning. Our intention is to lock down that area and conduct a good examination of that whole area to determine if there’s any evidence from this matter that has been removed from the area, from that scene, from their residence,” Detective Inspector Chris Ahearn said.

Kelly Wilkinson Mother

On Wilkinson’s Facebook, it shows her mother passed away on was February 28 aged 55 years. A tribute to  mother Karen who – according to the post – died “suddenly” just two months ago. She was the “loving mother” of Wilkinson and her sisters Daniella, Emma, and Natalie – she was also the “adored nanny” to her eight “beautiful grandchildren”, according to the social media post.
