Mshoza Bio, Wiki
Mshoza who is popularly known as Nomasonto Maswanganyi is a South African musician best known for her hit song “Kortes & Kwaito”. It is being reported that she has died at the age of 37 on Thursday, November 19th, 2020.
The kwaito star rose to fame with her smash hit Kortes in the early 2000s from her debut album Bulldawgz First Lady. She’s often cited as an influential figure alongside fellow stars Mzambiya and Msawawa. She was outspoken on a number of issues including gender-based violence and shared her experiences of intimate partner violence in 2018.
She received backlash over recent years for her skin-lightening regimen, with criticism over her decision to lighten her complexion.
Mshoza is survived by her two children, Pride, and Jacob Junior.
Mshoza was married three times, first to Mpumalanga businessman Jacob Mnisi in 2007 but their union crumbled in 2011 after accusations and counteraccusations of cheating by both parties.
The Kortes hitmaker then walked down the aisle with Durban businessman Thuthukani Mvula in 2017. But that union collapsed after the singer claimed that Mvula had physically abused her.
Her third marriage was to East Rand businessman Prince Dlamini at a Home Affairs office in Joburg in a low-key ceremony attended by close friends and relatives on February 13th, 2020. The two started living together in Vonveld Park on the East Rand. It is not clear whether the two were still married at the time of her death.
